Significance Ring
The ring answers: "Does it actually matter which season you pick for this venue?"
It compares how good the race windows score in spring versus fall, year over year. If one season consistently scores better than the other across many years of data, you get a ring. No ring means the seasons are basically a coin flip — either one is fine.
Thick white ring = Very confident one season is better (99%)
Medium ring = Confident (95%)
Thin ring = Probably matters (90%)
No ring = Seasons are too similar to call
The ring updates live when you change the year range or scoring weights.

Rain Resilience (⚙ toggle)
Multiplies the rain penalty. Surface type overrides USDA if set.
Granite 0.15× — immune to rain
Limestone 0.20× — sheds water fast
Sand 0.35× — drains well
Hardpack 0.55× — some mud possible
Loam 1.00× — average baseline
Clay 2.00× — mud disaster
Blank Surface_Type → USDA HSG used as fallback.
Set Surface_Type in Venues sheet to override.
Toggle soil on/off in ⚙ to compare.
